QIC-EY NOW Video Featuring Three Precious Miracle’s Founder

Elisia Manuel, Founder and President of Three Precious Miracles, is a featured expert this month on QIC-EY NOW’s clip and tip on “Understanding the Role of Cultural Connections”. The video is published as part of the organization’s Practicing Cultural Humility competency.

Practicing cultural humility starts by initiating open and honest conversations with children and youth about who they are. Before child welfare professionals can do that, they must have an awareness of how their own background impacts their perceptions and interactions.

Elisia is joined by Vince Espino, a Child Welfare Social Worker. As experienced workers in the foster care field, they share of how culture plays an important role in children and youth.
